Artsy Sightseeing in Oslo

Had such a wonderful day of sightseeing in my dear Oslo. Me and my husband walked from Majorstua down to Frogner and finally back home. With the wonderfully sunny weather and about 5 km of walking, we’re ready to take off for new experiences!

The neighborhoods Majorstua and Frogner are very nice areas both for living and shopping. I believe it’s two of Oslo’s most modern and clean areas. In Majorstua there are many beads-hops and I have visited two of them so far, Perlehuset and Tartaluga. My plan is to see them all of course :)

Arrived in Majorstua we began having a tasty lasagna for lunch. That was the energy boost we needed! After that we visited the bead-shop Tartaluga, amazing beads and sweet ladies welcoming us while making jewelry at the cashier. Personally I love when creativity is flowing, just like that.

The cool rings of glass

The cool rings of glass

As we strolled through Frogner we saw many wonderful shops selling different kind of arts, paintings and so on. My favorites are these cool glass rings, they must be so fun to make. Speaking of glass, Oslo has many glass-artists who creates everything from pendants to sculptures.

Doing an outing like this and taking the time to get to know your city is a great idea, you learn a lot and find new favorite places. I found a bead-shop, restaurant, café and many cute art boutiques. Maybe we spent only like 4 hours in total,  but still it felt like a real vacation!
