Purple Beaded Necklace with Gemstone Pendant

This is one of my latest designs, I love the pale purple beads in it. The small purple sandstone beads have a little glittery spark to them, and the pendant in this beaded necklace is just like a dinosaur egg!

I found the dark purple sandstone beads when I visited London last october, and the purple gemstone pendant I discovered at my favorite bead shop Tartaruga here in Oslo.

The three silver lined beads in the necklace has a little rose in them, they were a gift from my mother-in-law! I don’t mind at all, she is always so nice to me…

Lately I have really appreciated dark beads, black beads. You can make a lot of pretty necklaces by adding black to other tasty colors. I always stack up on black beads in different sizes and shapes when there is a clearance or discount, because they are one of the most useful beads you can have in your stash.

But even though I like black, I still love purple and that’s why I beaded this necklace. It was the purple gemstone pendant that caught my eyes in the bead store, couldn’t resist purchasing it. It looks like crackle bead…with black ink on top of it. The black ink makes the purple gemstone pendant dramatic, love that…

I’ve found many inspiring beads during the past few weeks, and I intend to make lots of new interesting jewelry with them!
