This blue murano glass necklace is a two strand necklace, and it is actually made by my mother-in-law! I really like it a lot, I think she did a great job with it! We made necklaces and jewelry together all the time when she visited me and my husband in december. That was so fun! I love to have a friend or company when I bead. We both made several necklaces, I think I made two rhinestone bead necklaces. My mother-in-law made two glass necklaces, one being the Blue Murano Glass Necklace.

Now I can se it clearly: Silver foil beads are so pretty!

Murano glass beads in necklace designs

The murano glass pendants and beads are very useful in jewelry making and beading :) They come in many shapes, rounds, squares, hearts and more. In the Blue Murano Glass Necklace we have used a blue murano glass coin (silver foil coin) bead, they are great to use as focals in your necklaces.

But when you have such a heavy focal as this murano glass coin you will need bigger beads. So we collected lots of different glass beads, a few golden fire polish beads some then some blue/golden crackle beads. We even used some blue lampwork beads which I have had in my beading stash for a long time  now! I’m happy that they found a new home in the murano glass necklace. ;)

It’s so funny, I have not really noticed how beautiful the murano glass (or silver foil) beads are until now. I guess it’s because they have been around for a while now and it’s easy to become “blind” over some common beads. But I will not for get them now! I’m going to look for some new rounds to use my own new murano glass necklaces. ;)
