Metal Clay in a Day, Book Review

This is an amazing book. I can’t tell you how much I like it! I’ve tried out so many cool projects in it. Metal clay in an Day is an easy to follow book on how to get started with metal clay.

If there is a perfect book for beginners, Metal Clay In a Day is the one! You get all the basics you need on Art Clay and PMC (Precious Metal Clay) together with what you can do best with each clay.

All tools and equipment is explained, and the great thing here is that this book gives good suggestions on regular items you have in your home which you can use with the metal clay. This way you get started quickly without spending a lot of money, that was very helpful the day I started out with metal clay. :)

All the projects in this book can be hand fired only with a butane torch, so there is no need to have a kiln.

Even though the projects in Metal Clay In a Day are easy to do, they look stunning! They are playful yet both classic and funny. This is where I found my faux enameling tutorial, made with sculpey liquid polymer clay.

The projects are divided into

  1. Earrings
  2. Necklaces
  3. Bracelets, rings & more
