Found these new “hot” Lava beads in Fire Mountain’s Jewelry makers Catalog of Best Sellers 2009-2010 
They look something like some bits of coal with little cavities in them. They have different shapes but all of them have the colors of burnt black or brown.
Lava beads makes excellent original necklaces or bracelets with bigger beads. They can carry any color and yet a number of colors at the same time. So if you like colorful jewelry like me then these are perfect! I found the Swarovski embellished lava beads very pretty too.
The embellished beads might be more expensve than other lava beads. If you want to save some money go ahead, it’s easy to make the pretty effect on your Lava beads by applying the rhinestones with adhesive yourself.

Also I was thinking when you wear a jewelry made from these beads and someone asks: “Oh, what have you got there round your neck?”, it must be so cool to say: “Oh, that’s just some lava.”
