Found all these large pendants on super sale -70% here in Oslo  They’re pretty large, I like that. Think I will combine these with some irregular gemstone beads in green jasper and agate. I also just got Fire Mountain Gems Catalog of best sellers for 2009-10. I’m looking in it now for inspiration, their gemstone section is huge. Noticed on their website that they also have a big sale now, you can find seriously cool beads there!

Sales are really great for finding those missing beads and findings you need to complete your jewelry ideas. Sometimes when I have the greatest idea something essential is missing, by stocking up on good sale items I can make sure that doesn’t happen very often.

Before, and when I’m actually in the shop which has a sale, I try to imagine the projects at home to get a feeling of what I should be looking for. I then concentrate on that. Sometimes a store like that is packed with both people and bargains so it’s easy to get “lost” in what you’re doing. This time however it was not a problem, managed to find what I needed to complete several projects thats been on hold.

In fact, I have already begun to finish one of those projects! It is the one with the large Shell Flower pendant from the picture, together with shell chips and the irregular agate beads from the picture. I will add some more mother of pearl shell chips now, bought those on that sale too.

Jewelry making is an ongoing process, at least for me. You make jewelry. You get new ideas. You make new jewelry again and you get inspired by the wonderful beads. You then just have to make something out of them. It’s great! I love it!

You learn a lot this way and you gain so much joy from the finished jewelry pieces! You can wear these genuine pieces yourself, or sell them or give them sway as gifts.
