The idea for this crochet bead necklace I first saw on a lady on TV. She was wearing a tasty bit of jewelry made from chains decorated with lots of big beads. The necklace she wore didn’t have any crocheted beads though. After seeing that look has I was so inspired I decided to to create something with the same feeling, fruity and bold at the same time! I found these cool blue and black crochet cotton beads at work, so instantly bought them and I knew that they will be perfect!
When you make a crocheted bead necklace like this, it’s important to make it the right length, it’s supposed to sit closely to the neck but not too tight. Imagine a chain full of fruits flowing from the neck…
Together with the cotton covered beads, mixed in between I’ve used blue 12mm fire polished glass beads. Instead of crocheted beads you can use cotton covered beads. For a design like this you want mainly bigger beads, small ones will not do the trick.
Take your favorite color combinations and make you own fruity chain necklace with those beads!

Just beautiful Zarah!
I like the use of monocramatic color theme in the beads. What I am facinated with the most is the bead caps and how they give a very feminine touch to those beads. They really make the whole necklace come together for me. Very very pretty!
