I’ve been chasing House of Beads (Perlehuset) since I moved here to Oslo. Twice I’ve went here to see all the lovely beads and it’s been closed every time. Now at last, it’s open! This is a wonderful little shop, full of people addicted to beads :D And now I’m joining them, what a rush!

How was the beadshop?

This shop has a good selection of beads, for example it’s the first beadshop I’ve encountered in Norway selling Cinnabar beads. I adore these beads, so I’m definitely getting some! As for the presentation of the beads, it was pretty good, I liked the sections they were put in. It’s a much better solution than only having simple glass bowls like some beadshops.

Beads buttons & metal clay

This bead shop sells buttons too, they have a whole section of it’s own in the shop. This is exactly what I have been hoping for in a beadshop! Buttons are super  handy when you’re beading together with precious metal clay or art clay. Making impressions with a mold maker on the buttons, then fill them with PMC, will result in pendants, beads, and all kinds of cool metal clay jewelry!

Inspired and “bead happy” I now know where I can get some of my favorite beads :) Will be back to this beadshop, that’s for sure!
