I went to check out one of the most popular crafts markets in Oslo. It’s situated in a really interesting neighborhood with lots of graffiti! This market is open every sunday from about 12pm to 5pm, sometimes longer than that.

At first I couldn’t find it because was walking on the wrong side of the river there, but finally with the help of the “maps” application in my Iphone I found it!

This market has a super cool entrance with a huge crystal chandelier which looks a bit crazy. And if you walk even closer you can feel the smell of freshly made waffles!

There is a table just outside where they make them then and there :D Made me hungry already from the beginning, and I didn’t even step inside yet! (picture of that above)

Everybody is looking for something

Inside the market there was so much fun to see, everyone crafted different things. Someone had knitted cozy gloves and scarves while another lady made colorful earrings in plastic and metal. It’s easy to be inspired to make something for yourself…

One of most elegant jewelry designs I saw there was some beaded swarovski rings and earrings. The rings looked something like this green ring of swarovski crystals.

Here is an excellent example where the design doesn’t have be complicated to be gorgeous! Ah, makes me wanna make one of those rings :D On the picture above on the right you can se the crystal chandelier I was telling you about earlier.

This is a pretty small market, but it was very nice I think. Many different techniques used to make all the jewelry and other items.

It’s interesting to see that the overall pricing is good, some things are more expensive while some pieces are pretty cheap. So anyone can find something in their price range. This is what you want from a crafts market :)

I just love this graffiti on the houses here, it’s insane but a bit scary too. Don’t think I will be going here late at night though!

In the last pictures I’m on my way to the market, and the right picture is view of the frozen river near my house.
